CLASS IMER
2026
ROYD | Innovation Yachts
PRELIMINARY PROJECT

Embarking on a first collaboration means turning a vision into a tangible reality. With this yacht, Ronan Ohier and Innovation Yachts demonstrate an approach to naval architecture in which technology, elegance, and environmental responsibility come together.
The IMER Class competition set an unprecedented challenge: to imagine a dual-purpose boat, competitive in racing and refittable for cruising as a second life, capable of standing the test of time and generations. The project by Ronan Ohier and Innovation Yachts rises to this ambition:
High-performance hull: optimized volume, hard chines with curvature inflections in the transverse sections, and strong sail-carrying power. The enclosed, secure cockpit and the coachroof carried to maximum beam ensure safe, protected sailing while remaining connected to the elements, both in racing and cruising.
Sustainability: balsa sandwich, Tenron fibers, bio-based resin… Thanks to Innovation Yachts’ technology and expertise, each material is selected for its performance and durability. All offcuts are repurposed, and construction is carried out without polluting molds, minimizing the carbon footprint.
Lively interior: low seating inspired by Japan, suspended tables, and open volumes for fluidity and visual comfort. The layout easily adapts for cruising, combining conviviality with freedom of movement.
